In order to give more people an opportunity to collect her art, Missy Reno Smith releases many of her paintings as Open and Limited-Edition Reproduction Prints. To ensure her reproduction prints will stand the test of time, Missy has partnered with a fine art printing expert that uses only the best museum grade inks and substrates available to create her prints. These reproductions are almost completely indistinguishable from Missy’s originals.

Plan Editioning
Missy creates an “Edition Plan” for each artwork title that will be printed as reproduction prints. In this plan, she decides what sizes to create and which substrates and pigment inks to use. She must also decide how many prints and proofs will be created.
as well as how many editions will be created and what types (Open and/or Limited Editions), sizes, and substrates. For Limited Editions, Missy also needs to choose the exact number of prints and proofs that will be created in each Limited Edition. This information will always be published and easy to find. Once an edition sells out, no other prints will ever be made in that size and substrate.
Open Editions
Editions classified as Open Editions are unlimited. The standard prints in an Open Edition are not numberd and they are digitally signed.
Missy does still number and hand sign the Artist Proofs in her Open Editions. Typically up to 50 Proofs will be made.
Limited Editions
In a Limited Edition, only a specific number of hand signed and numbered standard prints and proofs will be created in a particular size and substrate.
For instance, a 12x16" print on stretched canvas may have 150 standard prints and 15 Artist Proofs. Once these numbers are reached, no other prints will be created.
